Anthony LaFata

President, LaFata & Son, Inc., A & D Equipment LLC

Salvatore LaFata, founder of LaFata & Son, Inc., began his Connecticut family-run business over sixty years ago. Through the 1950’s and 60’s his commercial and residential landscaping business became well-established and respected in the community. By the mid 70’s, Salvatore added excavating to his company’s capabilities.

When Salvatore’s son, Anthony LaFata, came on board in the 80’s and expanded commercial services to include recycling, he brought with him a unique mind for the business.

Anthony had a passion and understanding of methodology – systematic ways to get the job done faster and better than the competition. Anthony spent the next years researching, testing and redefining excavating.

What he realized early on was the tremendous benefit of working with the earth. What job sites already had on hand, were materials capable of being recycled right on site. Save time, save cost, remain eco-friendly.

In 2006, Anthony expanded his fleet to include the most innovative excavating equipment on the market. With the addition of Lloyd Engineering Rotastar screening bucket technology, and crushing buckets. LaFata was able to dramatically increase productivity, decrease cost and remain well ahead of the competition. A few years later, Anthony expanded his exceptional knowledge and methodology into a new division of LaFata & Son, Inc, A & D Equipment Sales, offering the best excavating equipment on the market today.

Now, A&D Equipment, Inc. is serving North American with an extensive fleet of the best crushing, screening and demolition attachments on the market today. A&D Equipment, Inc. is also a proud dealer of Steelwrist products offering a full line of Tiltrotators, Quick Coupling systems and a large assortment of buckets and work tools.
